Water Lilies in Bloom

A still blue pond scattered with lily pads and opening blooms — coral red, pink and cream flowers floating on water that shimmers with reflected light. Every ripple and petal is hand-embroidered in fine silk thread, in the Suzhou tradition, with a painterly, impressionist touch.
