A golden aspen grove in the heart of autumn — rows of white trunks rising from a field of gold, with deep blue forest shadows behind. This wide panoramic piece is entirely hand-embroidered in fine silk thread, stitch by stitch, in the Suzhou embroidery tradition.

Aspens are the great golden trees of the American West — in fall, whole mountainsides turn to gold at once. Our master embroiderers recreated that moment in silk: hundreds of slender white trunks, each with its own knots and markings, standing in tall golden grass in front of a blue shadowed forest. From across the room it reads as pure color — gold, white and blue; up close, every blade of grass is a single stitch. A calm, light-filled statement piece for a living room, hallway or office.
