Spirit of the Azure Dragon

A majestic azure dragon coils through drifting clouds, every scale and whisker rendered in hand-guided silk thread. Stitched in the Suzhou tradition with silk shaded from deep ocean blue to misty silver, the dragon seems to move with a life of its own — powerful, graceful and utterly mesmerizing up close.

The Story — The Azure Dragon, Guardian of the East

In Chinese tradition, the dragon is the most powerful of all symbols — strength, courage, wisdom and good fortune in one majestic form. Among the Four Auspicious Beasts, the Azure Dragon stands guard over the East, the direction of the rising sun, bringing spring, growth and new beginnings wherever it watches. For centuries, dragons have been believed to command the wind and rain and to carry prosperity on their wings. Coiling through the clouds with unstoppable energy, this azure guardian brings a mighty blessing to any home or office: power guided by wisdom, protection from harm, and success that keeps on rising.
